CVS Caremark spent $2.1M on lobbying in Q4
Woonsocket, R.I. CVS Caremark Corp. spent $2.1 million in the fourth quarter as it lobbied the White House and Congress on aspects of the healthcare overhaul bill and Medicare issues.
CVS Caremark said its lobbying interests included issues related to healthcare and insurance reform and expanding coverage for the uninsured. It also discussed changes to the Medicare Part D drug benefit, adoption of approval rules for biotech drugs, and changes to the Federal Employee Health Benefits Plan program.
CVS spent almost $1.9 million on lobbying in fourth quarter 2008, and nearly $2 million in third quarter 2009.
