CVS In $895,000 Massachusetts Medicaid Settlement
Woonsocket, R.I., CVS Corp. has agreed to pay $895,000 to settle an investigation into its Medicaid billing practices by Massachusetts Attorney General Thomas Reilly.
Reilly’s investigation had found that CVS charged Massachusetts’ MassHealth Medicaid program full price for partially filled prescriptions. CVS’ settlement is comprised of $812,000 in restitution and $82,240 in interest. Additionally, CVS will monitor its Medicaid billings on a regular basis.
