Court Decides Against Garden Ridge Landlords

Wilmington, Del., Agroup of landlords of Garden Ridge Corp. stores have lost their bid for recognition from the bankruptcy court as an official committee. The landlords are Wal-Mart Stores and Austin-HF. According to Judge Louis Kornreich, “The landlords have made no showing that the official committee has failed to fulfill its duty to maximize recovery to all general unsecured creditors.”
