Costco to anchor L.A. shopping mall

LOS ANGELES Costco is slated to be the new anchor tenant in a Los Angeles shopping mall when it moves into a space once occupied by Macy’s in late 2008. The mall is already home to several other anchor tenants including JCPenney and Mervyn’s.

Costco has stores in shopping malls in other parts of the country but Lakewood Center would be its first in Southern California.
