Consumer survey ranks Walmart favorite retailer

Louisville, Colo. Kohl’s and Target were selected as the No. 1 and No. 2 favorite fashion and accessory retailers, while Walmart took first as single favorite retailer in a consumer survey released Tuesday by Market Force Information.

The survey was conducted among a network of 300,000 independent mystery shoppers and merchandisers.

Walmart was ranked first as single favorite retailer, followed by Kohl’s, Target and J.C. Penney.

Macy’s took the top spot for the brand names it carries, but Target eclipsed the rest of the competition in the speed of service, overall atmosphere and green/sustainable growth policies categories. Target also tied for first with J.C. Penney for the ‘ability to find what I need’ and for friendly service. Kohl’s, Walmart, and Target tied for first place in overall value.
