The cranes have arrived at the 92-acre lot along Clovis Avenue in Fresno, California, to erect the parking garage at what will be Fancher Creek Town Center, and the locals couldn’t be happier.
“I think it’s super. We need something. You have to catch the freeway and go up north to get to anything,” resident Diana Williams told KFSN news in Fresno this week.
The Lance-Kashian & Company mixed-use project, in the works for nearly a decade, will situate 1 million sq. ft. of retail, lifestyle, and restaurant space amid residences and office space.
“It’s going to be work, live, play, and shop. I feel it’s going to explode simply because now you have the freeway 180 there,” said Fresno City Council member Sal Quintero.
Lance-Kashian literature on the Fancher Creek project says it’s intended to serve a population of 400,000 people living within a 15-mile radius.
