Conn’s Q4 sales plummet 30.3%

Beaumont, Texas Electronics and appliance retailer Conn’s reported Tuesday that net sales for the quarter ended Jan. 31 dropped 30.3%, from $245.5 million in the year-ago period to $171 million.

Same-store sales decreased 31.7% for the quarter.

According to the company, the results were impacted by the “more challenging economic conditions in the company’s markets” during the quarter.

Conn’s currently operates 76 stores in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.
