Collective Bias brings e-commerce exec on board

5/22/2014

Shopper social media company Collective Bias has named Ali Mirian as SVP of product development and analytics.

"Ali's experience in product development will be a key asset as we continue to address changing customer needs during this time of exciting growth and product innovation," said president and CEO Bill Sussman. "As analytics and measurement become increasingly important to large brands today, Ali will play a pivotal role in expanding our proprietary analytics capabilities, enabling customers to fully understand where and why campaigns are helping to achieve their marketing goals and ROI."

Mirian has more than 15 years of hands-on experience with the entire e-commerce funnel, from customer acquisition to engagement and conversion. Most recently, Ali co-founded the charitable ad platform, Chiefgood, which connects nonprofits with volunteer designers and free ad space. In addition to Chiefgood, Mirian has held executive positions at Recyclebank and media giant IAC.

"I look forward to working closely with the product team to develop new technology solutions to our customers' most pressing marketing challenges," said Mirian. "I've found that businesses face problems creating content that time and again is able to engage customers. Yet when they do make great content, they struggle to repeat that success because they are not properly analyzing the results. This is why I'm excited to help customers understand the kind of content that keeps customers inspired and coming back for more."

Mirian is based out of Collective Bias' New York office.
