Cole Haan has opened a global flagship at the just-opened Westfield World Trade Center in lower Manhattan. And the retailer is making it easy for shoppers to get there by linking up with Uber.

The store features a series of rooms, inspired by a residential layout, clad in black, white and grey finishes, with hints of navy, brass and hot-rolled steel. Natural light is abundant throughout the space, whose design aesthetic blends the traditional with the modern, with a large scale marble mosaic pattern in the front foyer and herringbone wood floors and paneling.

With more than half of all purchases expected to be executed on mobile POS, the store does not feature a traditional cash wrap.

Cole Haan is making Uber easily available to customers via the Cole Haan store locator page: Customers can request an Uber to take them directly to the store by pressing the Uber button on the store page.

There is also an option to utilize UberRUSH to deliver products purchased from the store to anywhere in New York City, with customers able to receive delivery alerts and track their packages in real time.

"Cole Haan continues to expand its store fleet globally," said Michael Prince, Cole Haan president and COO. "This location will be our most prominent new global flagship and will serve as a calling card to the rest of the world. It will be our most technically advanced store to-date. With the added convenience of UberRUSH and the elimination of a traditional cash-wrap, our team is able to focus solely on our customers' experience.”
