Cloud-based software provider names new VP, sales
TREVOSE, Pa. — Airclic, a global provider of cloud-based software that transforms the accuracy, efficiency and competitiveness of mobile supply chain and logistics operations, has appointed Charlie Virden as VP of sales.
Having previously served as VP of sales for Roadnet Technologies, formerly UPS Logistics Technologies, and with nearly two decades of sales experience, Virden has experience driving sales revenue and profit growth across domestic and international organizations. Airclic will leverage his experience to further drive its momentum and growth amid market demand for technologies that provide solutions to some of the industry’s greatest supply chain and logistics challenges.
“Today’s customers hold B2B suppliers to a higher standard than ever before, based largely on B2C experiences,” said Virden. “Incorrect orders mean decreased customer satisfaction and oftentimes a loss in revenue — something no organization can afford. As the company providing the critical solution to address this market shift, it’s clear that Airclic has a bright future ahead. I am excited to help the company realize its tremendous growth potential and make its market vision a reality in the coming months.”
Airclic’s electronic point of delivery solution enables distributors across industries to get an order to its destination on time and as expected. The solution eliminates the error-prone practice of paper-based tracking and reporting, improving customers’ experience and minimizing the revenue losses associated with short, inaccurate, damaged or mis-timed deliveries.
“Airclic is seeing rapidly increasing demand for its products as companies look for the most effective means to streamline and improve the efficiency of their supply chains,” said Mike Lee, CEO of Airclic. “Charlie’s 22 years of direct industry experience working with some of the world’s largest shipping and supply chain management companies make him the perfect addition to the Airclic team as we take advantage of the increasing adoption of our products that provide full visibility into the last mile of supply chain.”
Airclic’s industry-specific products are scalable and operate on any device or carrier for seamless deployment and rapid ROI. Annually, more than $165 billion of business transactions are automated on Airclic’s Perform products for a competitive advantage through increased efficiency, reduced operational costs and improved customer service.
