Christopher & Banks Same-Store Sales Fall in December

Minneapolis Christopher & Banks Corp. said Thursday its same-store sales fell 1% in December. But the company said that its same-store sales were in line with what it expected for the month and that it was “very pleased” that merchandise margins in the month showed “significant improvement” compared to last year.

Christopher & Banks Corp. said for the four-week period ended Dec. 29, total sales climbed 3% to $61.8 million from $60 million in the year-ago period.
