Children’s Place Selects New Accounting Firm

Secaucus, N.J., The Children’s Place Retail Stores has selected BDO Seidman to serve as the company’s accounting firm for the current fiscal year ending Feb. 2, 2008.

The news follows the company’s recent announcement that Deloitte & Touche will resign as its auditor. The company claimed that this was due to the auditor’s inability to rely on the representations of the former CEO.

According to the company, Deloitte & Touche is continuing to serve as the company’s auditor with respect to the company’s financial statements for the three fiscal years in the period ended Feb. 3. There is a pending restatement of previously issued financial statements for fiscal 2005 and 2004.
