Children's Place posts 2% Sept. sales increase

SECAUCUS, N.J. The Children's Place posted September net sales of $160.7 million for the five-week period ended Oct. 4, a 2% increase over $157.1 million for the like 2007 period. Comparable-store sales were flat, compared to a 2% decrease last year.

During September 2008, the company opened two stores and closed one.
