Children's Place to Explore Options

Secaucus, N.J., The Children's Place Retail Stores Inc. said Wednesday it hired a financial advisor to help explore strategic options to improve its operations.

The retailer said Lehman Brothers will help assist in the review of options, which include potential organizational and operational improvements, a recapitalization or other transactions.

Earlier this month, a report surfaced that Children's Place planned to put itself up for sale. The company would not comment on the report at the time.
