ChannelAdvisor appoints human resources VP

1/15/2014

ChannelAdvisor, a leading provider of cloud-based e-commerce solutions, has appointed Judith Barnett as VP of human resources. In this role, Barnett will oversee global human resources and will be charged with attracting, developing and retaining individuals for the company’s growing worldwide team.

“ChannelAdvisor is the company it is today because of the incredibly intelligent and creative people that make up our team,” said CFO John Baule. “Hiring Judith ensures that we continue to recruit the best talent possible and maintain the optimal on-boarding and development experience for employees as we work to increase our global footprint.”

Barnett previously served as VP of global human resources for eight years at Tekelec, a company that offers solutions to service providers, allowing them to manage and monetize explosive growth in mobile data traffic and multimedia applications. At Tekelec, Barnett developed and executed the human resources strategy to create a specialized, highly profitable organization focused on developing industry-leading technology. Barnett’s work at Tekelec ultimately contributed to the strategic acquisition of the company by Oracle America Inc. in June 2013.

Prior to joining Tekelec in 2006, Barnett served in various human resources roles at Nortel for 20 years. While there, she provided human resources leadership to multiple organizational units including Nortel Government Solutions, North American Enterprise Sales and Global Customer Care Services in Europe. Barnett received her bachelor of arts degree in business management from North Carolina State University.

“ChannelAdvisor is a pillar of innovation in the ever-changing world of e-commerce, and I’m thrilled to be joining the company as well as the online retail industry,” said Barnett. “ChannelAdvisor is powered by some of the best talent in the industry, and I expect to build on that standard as the company works to continue its international growth.”

According to the company, its cloud-based solutions enable retailers to efficiently manage and automate the online selling process across multiple channels including third-party marketplaces, paid search and comparison shopping engines. Its software is designed to eliminate day-to-day tasks of optimizing online listings and analyzing performance, allowing sellers to successfully scale their e-commerce businesses.
