CEA says CE sales to be at highest level ever this holiday season

ARLINGTON, Va. According to the Consumer Electronics Association’s 17th annual holiday study, consumer electronic sales will reach the highest level ever reported this season. Despite an overall decline in gift spending, electronic spending jumped five percent from last years numbers; equating to an average of $232 a person spent on electronics this holiday season.

The CEA reported that the top 10 holiday gifts will be as follows:

1) Notebook/Laptop 2) iPad 3) e-reader 4) iPod/iPod Touch 5) Video game System 6) Digital Camera 7) Big Screen TV 8) TV (unspecified) 9) Computer (unspecified) 10) Desktop PC
