Casey’s 4Q Profit Drops

Ankeny, Iowa Convenience store operator Casey's General Stores Inc. said Wednesday its fiscal fourth-quarter profit dropped 13%, but results beat Wall Street's expectations.

For the three months ended April 30, the company reported income of $14.4 million, compared with $16.6 million, in the year-ago period. Revenue rose 20% to $1.2 billion, from $1 billion in the corresponding period in 2007.
