Carter's names new ceo

ATLANTA Carter's announced that Frederick Rowan, II is retiring as ceo and as a member of the company's board of directors, effective Aug. 1. The company also announced that Michael Casey, currently the company's cfo, has been appointed to succeed Rowan as the ceo effective that same date.

Rowan joined Carter's in 1992 as president and ceo and became chairman of the board of directors in October 1996.
