7/2/2013

DEARBORN, Mich. — Workwear brand Carhartt is collaborating with vehicle seat cover protection manufacturer Covercraft to deliver Carhartt duck seat protection for pickups, SUVs, vans and over-the-road work trucks.

"For more than 50 years, Covercraft has produced high-quality, handcrafted seat protection products built to the highest standards and certifications, which makes our partnership a perfect extension of the Carhartt brand," said Rick Fecowicz, director of licensing at Carhartt. "They understand the wants and needs of our consumer, which is essential to delivering a product that is Carhartt tough through and through."

According to Carhartt, the vehicle seat covers are constructed with its “heavy-duty, firm-hand duck fabric,” and have its signature triple-stitched main seams for “extra durability.” The seat covers also have pockets for storage and the brand’s Durable Water-Repellent finish.

Carhartt-Covercraft will be widely available for purchase at participating dealerships or online.

"Carhartt has a 100-plus year reputation for premium workwear manufacturing and Covercraft is excited to partner with this iconic brand to launch a line of durable seat covers, custom-patterned for pickups, SUVs, vans and OTR work trucks," said Martin Lichtmann, president of Covercraft Industries.

Covercraft manufactures exterior and interior protection products for automobiles. Headquartered in Oklahoma, the company has additional manufacturing facilities in Texas, Mexico and Australia, plus design centers located in Oklahoma, California, Arizona and Ohio.

Established in 1889, Carhartt is privately owned and managed by the descendants of the company's founder, Hamilton Carhartt. The company is headquartered in Dearborn, Mich., and has approximately 4,400 employees worldwide.
