Burlington Coat Sales Increase

Burlington, N.J., Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse Corp. posted net sales of $651.1 million in its first quarter ended Aug. 27, a 13.4% increase from the year-ago period. Same-store sales growth for the quarter was 8.9%.

The apparel retailer plans to issue a full earnings statement on Oct. 5.
