Burlington Coat Factory achieves positive 2Q comps growth
BURLINGTON, N.J. Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse announced that net sales for the second quarter ended July 31 were $728.8 million compared with $701 million for the comparative period ended Aug. 1, 2009, a 4% increase. Comparative-store sales increased 0.3% for the quarter.
Tom Kingsbury, CEO, stated, “We are pleased to report our second consecutive quarter with a positive comparable-store sales performance which contributed to a total sales increase of 6% for the spring season. We continue to stay focused on driving sales through our top three priorities: merchandise content, the store experience and receipt management.”
