Burke-Gillis-Juliano consultancy to serve extended retail value chain

Retail and consumer products industry veterans Vince Burke, Jim Gillis and Rich Juliano have founded the Burke-Gillis-Juliano Group, a global consultancy focused on the supermarket, mass retail, convenience, drug and specialty retail trade channels.



The consultancy will offer executive management, market strategy, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, business development, product marketing, trade relations and related services to leading retailers, suppliers and vendors in the United States and around the world.



At the core of the new company are partners with senior retail and supply leadership experience. Burke comes from Hallmark Cards and Juliano worked at Supervalu, Genuardis Family Markets and Giant Eagle. Meanwhile, Gillis has broad consulting, P/L management, private equity and both public and private board experience.



“Burke-Gillis-Juliano Group features retail and supplier executives who are at the top of their game — Vince connects at all levels of retail bringing with him expertise in DSD, store merchandising, distribution, contacts, and trade relations. Rich on the other hand has been on the other side of the desk working through the “deal”, SBT, inventory control, general merchandise, IT, private label, vitamins, drugs, in other words, all sides of retail,” said Gillis.
