Build-A-Bear CEO pay up 60%
St. Louis Maxine Clark, chief executive of Build-A-Bear Workshop saw her compensation for 2009 rise to $1,733,032, up 60% from $1,080,637 in 2008, according to a company filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Clark’s salary was flat at $600,000 but she received significant boosts in stock and option awards from the previous year.
President John Haugh, who started with the company in March 2009, received compensation of $747,442. Tina Klocke, COO, treasurer and secretary, made $688,836. Eric Fencl, general counsel, made $921,266, and David Finnegan, chief information officer, made $446,932, according to the filing.
