Buckle’s Same-Store Sales up 14.7% in January
New York City The Buckle Inc. saw its same-store sales jump 14.7% in January as the teen apparel and accessories retailer continued to outperform most of its competitors. Net sales for the four-weeks ended Jan. 31 surged 23.1% to $48 million, from $39 million in the prior-year period.
For the fourth-quarter, Buckle's same-store sales rose 14.3%. Meanwhile, net sales grew 21.5% to $251.4 million, from $207 million in the fourth quarter a year ago.
The company's same-store sales for the year-to-date period rose 20.6%. For the 52-week period, net sales spiked 27.8% to $792 million, from $619.9 million in the prior year.
