The Buckle shines in Q1

Kearney, Neb. The Buckle reported on Thursday that its first-quarter profit leaped 44% on a sales jump. The results beat Wall Street expectations.

The retailer earned $26.9 million in the quarter that ended May 2, up from $18.7 million a year earlier. Revenue rose 25% to $199.7 million.
