The Buckle Reports Increases

Kearney, Neb. Specialty retailer The Buckle announced Tuesday that its net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Feb. 2, 2008, increased 31.7%, to $29.1 million, compared to $22.1 million for the same time frame in 2006. Similarly, the retailer’s net income for the fiscal year ended Feb. 2, also increased to $75.2 million from $55.7 million last year.

Comparable-store sales increased 13.2% for the 52-week fiscal year ended Feb. 2, and net sales for the fiscal year increased 16.9% to $619.9 million from $530.1 million. The prior-year 53-week fiscal year ended Feb. 3.
