Brooks Brothers makes itself at home in San Francisco’s Union Square
Brooks Brothers has opened a flagship store location in San Francisco. At 26,000 sq. ft., Brooks Brothers at Union Square is the second largest retail location in North America.
The interior of the San Francisco store is modeled after the nearly 100-year old Brooks Brothers flagship store at 346 Madison Ave. in New York City. The four-level store features the full fall 2013 Brooks Brothers men’s and women’s collection, a dedicated shop-in-shop for the fleece children’s collection, and the collegiate-inspired Red Fleece label and the Black Fleece by Brooks Brothers collection designed by Thom Browne.
Like the flagship at 346 Madison, the San Francisco location’s first floor is covered in pale cherry wood. The women’s floor is adorned by white paneling and marble floors. The Red Fleece label for men and women is located on the mezzanine. The fourth floor is decked out with dark mahogany paneling and antiques. The cash desk serves as a coffee bar and lounging area, and there is even a pool table. Many of the stores fixtures and decorations are antique, in keeping with Brooks Brothers’ heritage.
Brooks Brothers currently operates 135 retail stores and 127 factory stores in the United States and 238 retail stores and 46 factory stores in 25 countries.
