Brixmor names Mark Salma new VP of redevelopment

New York -- Brixmor Property Group announced commercial real estate professional Mark Salma has joined the company as VP of redevelopment. In his role, Salma will focus on Brixmor’s anchor space repositioning projects in the North region with the goal of driving higher sales, traffic and small shop leasing at the property level.



Salma brings nearly three decades of experience in commercial real estate. He joins Brixmor from the Kroger Company, where Salma was responsible for acquisitions, development and redevelopment of retail grocery stores and retail fuel stations throughout Illinois and Indiana.



Prior to Kroger he worked as the director of real estate at Ralph’s Grocery Company, where he handled acquisitions, development and redevelopment of retail grocery stores and warehouse format stores throughout Northern California and Los Angeles.
