Boyer to resign as Michaels cfo

IRVING, Texas Michaels Stores today announced that Jeffrey Boyer, president and cfo, has indicated he will resign effective April 4. Lisa Klinger, senior vp of finance and treasurer, will serve as acting cfo until a replacement is found.

Brian Cornell, ceo, said, "Jeff has made numerous contributions to Michaels and we appreciate his service. He has developed a strong team and we are confident they will ensure a smooth transition."

In, addition, Richard Jablonski, vp of finance and corporate controller, has been named as principle accounting officer, the company reported.
