Borders: understated share count for '06

ANN ARBOR, Mich. Borders Group announced in an SEC filing that it had understated its share count for the nine months ended Oct. 28, 2006 by 2.1 million shares.

The company also reported that it had overstated the net loss on a GAAP basis for the same period by 5 cents.
