Borders names new director

ANN ARBOR, Mich. The board of directors of Borders Group announced that David Shelton has been elected as a new director.

Shelton has had a 36-year career with $48.2 billion home improvement retailer Lowe's Companies that began in 1970 and concluded in 2006 with his retirement. His most recent position at Lowe's was SVP real estate, engineering and construction, a role he held since 1997. Prior to that post, Shelton was VP sales operations and VP store operations.
