Borders helps promote breast cancer awareness
ANN ARBOR, Arbor. Borders announced that it is teaming up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure to promote breast cancer awareness. Borders has pledged to donate to Komen for the Cure a minimum of $100,000 based on sales of select products during the month of October.
"Partnering with Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a natural fit for Borders," said Mike Edwards, CEO of Borders, Inc. "Our Rewards program allows us to communicate with millions of customers on a weekly basis. Considering that many of our customers are women, this is a powerful tool to not only draw awareness to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but to also give our customers the opportunity to join us in supporting research grants and community outreach programs."
