Borders gets back to online retailing
ANN ARBOR, Mich. The new Borders.com site has officially launched, ending the retailer's long-time relationship with Amazon. The new site enables users to browse and shop for books, DVDS and other entertainment products, and includes features such as "staff picks" and video interviews.
In September 2007, Borders announced that it was ending its seven-year relationship with Amazon and launched a beta site, http://beta.BordersStores.com, to test a variety of features including Magic Shelf, an online shopping experience designed to mimic the feel of browsing a bookstore, better search capabilities, as well as customer and employee reviews.
