Borders Ends Talks With Whitcoulls

Ann Arbor, Mich. Borders Group Inc. announced Wednesday that its talks with A&R Whitcoulls are over. The two had been reviewing strategic alternatives for Borders’ Australia and New Zealand businesses.

In March 2007, Borders said it was exploring strategic alternatives for most of its international operations. The company said it will continue to look into its options for the businesses.
