Bon-Ton ventures into e-commerce


YORK, Pa. The Bon-Ton Stores announced today that it has partnered with MarketLive, a leading global e-commerce service provider, to launch its new e-commerce business.

Available at and through the Web sites of the company's six other nameplates: Bergners, Boston Store, Carson Pirie Scott, Elder-Beerman, Herbergers and Younkers, the new online store was created to highlight the company's holiday offerings. 

The e-commerce service will feature easy-to-navigate drop-down menus, along with enhanced functionality and graphics, the company reported. Order fulfillment will be processed at the companys Rockford, Ill. and Fairborn, Ohio distribution centers.
