Bon-Ton repeats promotion where everyone wins
The Bon-Ton Stores is back with a popular promotion that increases store traffic, generates sales, saves customers money and benefits the communities where it operates 270 department stores.
The Bon-Ton Stores said its semi-annual Community Days event would be held Feb. 26-27 with proceeds from the sale of coupons books benefitting local schools and non-profit groups. The way the promotion works is local groups sign up to sell Community Days saving books for a $5 donation to their organization and they retain 100% of the $5. Purchasers of the savings books receive a $10 off coupon redeemable in store or online at any Bon-Ton, Boston Store, Bergner’s, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s or Younkers. The booklet also contains a 25% off shopping pass, a 30% item coupon and more than $500 in exclusive coupon savings to use at all stores and online during the Community Days event held Feb. 26-27.
“Community Days is a great opportunity for local schools and non-profit organizations to raise funds and increase visibility in their community,” said Kathryn Bufano, president and CEO of The Bon-Ton Stores. “Bon-Ton is proud to continue to support the communities that we serve.”
The event is quite popular in the 26 states where The Bon-Ton operates stores. Last year, schools and non-profits raised more than $5.4 million and since the retailer began the initiative in 1999 more than $130 million has been raised.
