B&N gets an education

8/17/2009

NEW YORK Barnes & Noble announced a number of new initiatives that focus on educational needs of teachers, parents and students.

B&N@School is a new section that provides easy access to educational tools for parents, teachers and librarians at Barnes & Noble stores and online at Barnes & Noble.com (www.bn.com/school). The section also includes an educational toys and games department available at www.bn.com/toys. Also part of the new initiatives is the enhanced educator discount program that is now available online so Pre-K-12 educators can benefit from 20% off list price of books, toys and games for classroom use (www.bn.com/educator).

“Barnes & Noble is proud to introduce B&N@School, an innovative new platform that provides families, teachers and librarians with an in-store and online one-stop back-to-school and year-round shopping experience,” said Jaime Carey, chief merchandising officer at Barnes & Noble.
