B&N adds tablet to Nook portfolio

NEW YORK — Barnes & Noble announced that it has introduced Nook Tablet, the latest product in its Nook portfolio. According to the company, the Nook Tablet offers access to popular movies, TV shows, music and more through the top entertainment services, including Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora and others, plus a collection of high-quality apps, fast Web browsing and email.


Nook Tablet is available forpre-order at www.nook.com and at Barnes & Noble stores for $249. IT will be in stores and in homes on or about Nov.17, the company said. In addition, the company said it will display the Nook Tablet in its newly announced Nook Digital Shop, which feature the full portfolio of Nook digital devices at neighborhood Barnes & Noble stores.
