Blockbuster names Casey new evp and cfo
Blockbuster has appointed Thomas Casey as its new evp and cfo. The announcement came after a another recent announcement from Blockbuster that Larry Zine, evp, cfo and cao will be retiring at the end of September. In his new position, Casey will be responsible for Blockbuster's financial, accounting and internal audit functions.
Casey most recently held the position of managing director for Deutsche Bank Securities where he was responsible for the bank's retail industry relationships in North America and served as a strategic financial advisor to some of the world's largest companies in the retail entertainment, food and drug, convenience store, food wholesale and foodservice industries over the last nine years. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Casey held investment banking positions with Citigroup, Merrill Lynch, and Dillon Read & Co.
