BJ's Sept sales up 8.6%
NATICK, Mass. BJ's Wholesale Club today reported that sales for September 2007 increased by 8.6% to $798.9 million from $735.4 million in September 2006. On a comparable-club basis, September sales increased by 3.9%. In 2006, the company reported a comparable-club sales decrease of 0.9% for September.
The company reported that highest increase in sales for September came in week two and the lowest increase in week three. According to BJ's, the highest sales increases were in the Metro New York area and the smallest increases were in the Southeast.
