BJ’s gets smarter about it store location

Location analytics solutions provider Esri is helping BJ’s Wholesale Club generate actionable business insights from club location data.


BJ’s use of Esri’s solutions was announced in conjunction with the National Retail Federation’s Big Show in New York. More specifically, BJ’s will use Esri’s location analytics solutions to aid in real estate research strategy and business insight analysis.


“Location is a factor that turns up in most of the analysis our team is asked to perform,” said Keith Galligano, manager of business insights and market research for the 206 unit BJ’s chain. “With Esri, we are able to leverage geospatial data to create actionable business insights as well as provide site location strategy.”


BJ’s and Esri share few details beyond the fact that the warehouse club operator is using Esri solutions.


“BJ’s has to be able to meet new challenges every day,” said Simon Thompson, director of commercial industry for Esri. “Using location analytics, BJ’s has an enriched view of its business that helps it navigate the changing retail market with confidence.”
