BI-LO files for bankruptcy
Mauldin, S.C. BI-LO, a grocery-store chain owned by private-equity investor Lone Star Funds, filed for protection from creditors.
BI-LO plans to use the voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection to “address an upcoming debt maturity,” the company said in a statement on Monday.
BI-LO stores will remain open and continue to operate without interruption, it said.
