Best Buy is looking to expand its smartphone offerings for America's growing population of aging adults with a San Diego-based company called GreatCall.
Starting May 3 the retailer plans to offer the first simple smartphone with health & safety apps to target aging adults. The smartphone, a Samsung Touch phone with GreatCall’s interface, will be available in Best Buy in more than 950 stores nationwide targeting aging adults that lead an active and independent lifestyle. The phones allow this target market to keep active while being up-to-date with health and safety apps.
