Best Buy to open more stores in Q3
MINNEAPOLIS Best Buy announced that it plans to open 22 new U.S. Best Buy stores in the third fiscal quarter 2010. Included in these plans are the openings of the fifth store in Puerto Rico and an addition to the New York City market, a new store at Union Square.
In addition, stores are opening in Virginia, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, California, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Alabama, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Louisiana. According to the company, the storers will feature updated layouts, highly trained employees, and interactive displays to create a unique and engaging experience for customers.
Best Buy said it will celebrate the openings with ribbon-cutting ceremonies and $10,000 check presentations to local nonprofits.
