Best Buy names SVP consumer insights

MINNEAPOLIS Best Buy announced that it has named Bill Hoffman SVP consumer insights.

“We’re excited Bill is bringing his extensive experience in strategic intelligence gathering and planning to Best Buy,” said Barry Judge, EVP and chief marketing officer for Best Buy. “He will be a valuable, seasoned addition to our leadership team and the new consumer insights capability.”  

Most recently, Hoffman was a senior expert in the Minneapolis office of McKinsey’s Strategy Practice where he served as a leader in its Global Forces service line and in McKinsey's Center for Managing Uncertainty. Prior to joining McKinsey’s Strategy Practice, Hoffman was a partner in the Gallup Organization’s Minneapolis office where he was responsible for overall relationships with some of Gallup’s leading retail, hospitality and financial services clients.
