Best Buy eyes Circuit City cardholders

Minneapolis Best Buy is making a move to woo people who had credit cards through its now-defunct rival, Circuit City.

Best Buy spokeswoman Sue Busch told Bloomberg News that Chase Bank USA will automatically issue Best Buy cards to existing Circuit City cardholders. A notification to Circuit City cardholders was sent March 26.

Chase handled credit-card transactions for both retailers.
