Best Buy to cut 250 HQ posts

MINNEAPOLIS Best Buy plans to eliminate 250 corporate headquarter positions. The company said it would also create 210 new positions that effected employees could take.

Last month, Best Buy said that more cuts would be necessary, even after about 500 employees agreed to voluntary severance packages.

Workers affected by the involuntary layoffs will remain employed by Best Buy for 30 days.
