Best Buy chief named to General Mills board
MINNEAPOLIS General Mills announced today that it has elected Best Buy chief Brad Anderson to its board of directors.
Anderson joined the company in 1973 as a salesman for Sound of Music, a precursor of Best Buy. In 1981 he was named vp of Best Buy and was elected evp and a member of the company's board of directors in1986. He was promoted to president and coo in 1991, named vice chairman in 2001, and became ceo of Best Buy in June 2002.
