Best Buy awards $2.75 million in scholarships
MINNEAPOLIS Best Buy announced that it has awarded 1,551 scholarships, totaling more than $2.75 million, to graduating high-school seniors across the U.S. including Puerto Rico. Scholarship funds will be distributed to all recipients in August.
According to the company, Best Buy received more than 62,000 completed applications for this year’s scholarship program. Recipients also must be committed to attending an accredited college or university in fall 2008.
