Beauty retailer chooses automatic ordering solution
Dallas European cosmetics and fragrance retailer Perfumery Douglas has selected SAF SuperStore software to create automatic orders to optimize the replenishment process and regain valuable time for customer service.
Migrating from its labor-intensive manual process, Douglas is implementing the automated forecasting and ordering solution in more than 1,000 stores throughout Europe.
“By optimizing the replenishment process, our employees can concentrate even more on customer consultation and sales activities,” said Dr. Michael Krings, managing director of logistics and administration, Douglas.
Since replacing its existing solution with SAF SuperStore, Douglas requires only half the time to complete the ordering process already in the pilot.
SAF provides Douglas with the automation needed to quickly create accurate orders on a store-by-store basis to reduce out-of-stocks and most importantly, focus more on its customers.
SAF SuperStore automates Douglas’ orders using a demand-chain management approach based on forecasted sales and current inventory levels. To date, the solution has been rolled out in 70 stores in Germany and has significantly reduced ordering costs and freed up time for customer service.
